How to get here<\/h2>\n

Sk\u00e5bu is located towards Jotunheimen, midway between Oslo and Trondheim. The driving time from Oslo is approx. 3 hours 15 minutes. Sk\u00e5bu is closer to Oslo than you might think. <\/p>\n

The mountain village sits at the top of a side valley up from Vinstra in Gudbrandsdalen, and is considered Northern Europe’s highest village community.<\/p>\n

From Vinstra, take Fv 255 to Sk\u00e5bu. The trip takes approx. 25 minutes. Alternatively, take highway 255 from Lillehammer – through Gausdal and Espedalen – to Sk\u00e5bu. This is the fastest way from Oslo. <\/p>\n

Jotunheimvegen from Sk\u00e5bu to Valdresflya, perhaps Norway’s most beautiful tourist route, is an excellent starting point for a Besseggen hike. From Sk\u00e5bu to Glitterheim and Sjoa there is also a direct route during the summer months. During the same period, you can drive the Peer Gynt road between Sk\u00e5bu and G\u00e5l\u00e5. <\/p>\n
